Twenty years ago, a golf lesson meant a coach standing behind you, a bucket of balls and a lot of guesswork. Today, at PG Golf and Sports Academy, every session on our TrackMan ranges captures the kind of data that used to be reserved for Tour professionals: club speed, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate and carry distance, all measured on every single shot.
Atalaya is home to the only TrackMan driving range on the Costa del Sol, and the technology is also built into our bays at Mijas and at PG Indoor at The Clubhouse, where three simulators let you train through the winter whatever the weather is doing outside. At Magna Marbella, the same job is done by a Toptracer range, so wherever you train with us, your coach is working from real numbers rather than a hunch.
The technology doesn't replace the coach, it gives the coach better information. We can see exactly what's happening in the swing and in the ball flight, agree on one thing to work on, and prove it's working before the lesson is over.

What does that look like in practice? Every bay tracks a full set of data points on each shot, from carry distance and side deviation to launch angle and spin, so instead of a coach telling you a shot "looked good," you can both see exactly what the ball did and why. It turns practice into a feedback loop: hit a shot, see the number, adjust, hit again.
It also opens the door to things that were never possible on a normal range. You can play a virtual round on some of the most famous courses in the world, including the Old Course at St Andrews, or take part in one of our virtual TrackMan tournaments against golfers training at other bays. For juniors especially, that turns technical practice into something closer to a game, which keeps them coming back for more.
None of this replaces good coaching. It supports it. Our international team still builds every programme around the player in front of them, whether that's a complete beginner working toward a Golf License or an elite junior on the Player Development Plan. TrackMan just means the plan is built on facts rather than feel.
